Dr. Shorthouse focuses on PC online and mobile games, expanding our title-based coverage in her role as research analyst. She has previously worked in online business development at publisher Square Enix. Educated in the United Kingdom, she graduated from the University of Warwick with a bachelor's degree in English literature with creative writing, and a master's degree in sociology including a mixed methods study of online gamers. She went on to complete a Ph.D. in education at the University of Hull, where she conducted extensive virtual ethnographic research into the learning behaviors of MMORPG-players.
