Liz Cruz manages the IoT and Smart Cities technology research portfolios within Omdia. Her team tracks IoT connectivity (cellular, Wi-Fi, and low power), platforms, cybersecurity, and smart cities.

Their research and analysis provide accurate market forecasts and share analyses that help clients to identify new market opportunities, make strategic product development decisions, and advise on M&A activity. During her tenure at Omdia, she has launched numerous research areas and grown revenues significantly year-over-year.

Prior to managing the IoT team, her research focused on how digitization, the outsourcing of data center management, economic factors, and a focus on sustainability is changing the physical infrastructure for data centers. Liz is a frequent commentator on industry trends, speaker at data center related events, and contributor to technology news publications.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and an M.B.A. in marketing from St Edward’s University, U.S. She is based in Texas.
