The need to communicate remotely with loved ones, as well as other tasks such as work from home due to COVID-19, has propelled the use of video calls to unprecedented levels. According to Omdia’s COVID-19 Consumer Survey, 53% of respondents indicated that COVID-19 has increased their use of group video calling activities and 24% of them are likely to maintain at the new usage level once the COVID-19 threat diminishes. To take full advantage of this situation and broaden its reach, video conferencing platform Zoom has expanded its Zoom for Home solution to a range of popular smart displays such as Amazon Echo Show, Google Nest Hub Max, and Facebook Portal.
