Omdia Consumer Survey shows Netflix churn significantly up in the UK in April

The latest Consumer Survey results from Omdia show that Netflix churn in the UK has jumped significantly in April 2020. Churn rose to 5.5% in April 2020, up from 3.7% in the last survey in November 2019, and up 1.1 percentage points year-on-year from April 2019.

The most common reasons given by respondents for cancelling their subscription were that they had watched all the content they wanted to watch and that it was too expensive. Over half the respondents that cancelled Netflix subscribe to Amazon Prime Video, while 1 in 5 no longer subscribe to any video service.
