The Public Displays Market Tracker consists of a comprehensive, worldwide pivot database delivered on a quarterly basis. This database focuses on flat panel technologies including LCD and OLED, and contains two distinct product types, Public Displays and Signage TV. Public Displays are intended to be used in out-of-home (OOH), public environments, and by multiple individuals simultaneously to convey information, advertising, or other forms of messaging with full color and motion capabilities. Desktop monitors and regular TVs including hotel TVs are excluded. 

Signage TVs are TV products bundled with Digital Signage software such as, LGE's SuperSign and eZ-sign; Samsung's Smart Signage TV and BEN, BER, BET-H, and SEJ-B series; Sharp's LC and LE Series; and part of Sony's Pro BRAVIA series. The metrics included in the Public Display Market Tracker Database are shipments, revenues, ASPs, average screen size, and shipment area across eight regions globally. The designated regions are Asia Pacific, China, Eastern Europe, Japan, Latin America, Middle East and Africa, North America, and Western Europe. All metrics in the database are further split by brands, display, screen size, resolution, touch technologies, and bezel-to-bezel width viewable through pivot tables.

The Public Displays Market Tracker is delivered in two versions before being followed by the publication of both reports. The first deliverable is a historic pivot containing actual shipments from first quarter 2018 to the most recent quarter. The second deliverable is a forecast pivot with historical actuals from first quarter 2018 to the most recent quarter and forecasts from the current quarter through 2024.
