Electronic Arts delivered another strong performance in calendar 2017 delivering net revenues  of over $5 billion for the first time and 10 percent year-on-year growth. EA used its expertise in live service and console games to drive net revenue.


  • Full calendar year net revenues saw a year-on-year growth of 10 percent and broke the $5 billion level for the first time.
  • For calendar 2017, 64 percent of net revenue was through digital sales channels up from 57 percent in calendar 2016, which in turn was up from 54 percent in calendar 2015.  
  • The big release of the quarter, Star Wars Battlefront II, underperformed against EA’s expectation of 8 million at 7 million unit sales (sell-in to retail and digital sell-through).
