Asian over-the-top platform iflix has moved further into sport, signing a ten-year deal with the Malaysian football association FMLPP to live stream matches to its subscribers. The reported value of the deal is 300 million ringgit ($77 million). Matches will be aired from 3 February on a dedicated channel, Football Malaysia on iflix. There will be no additional fee but according to the league, a monthly fee of no more than $5 will be introduced in future. Malaysia-based iflix has previously experimented live sports with Indonesian football and the Mayweather MacGregor fight (both in partnership with free-to-air broadcaster TV One), and the inaugural T10 cricket tournament from UAE in December.
