IHS Markit (Nasdaq: INFO), a world leader in critical information, analytics and solutions, today announced that it has teamed up with the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) and Impact Energy to build a new market intelligence program concerning electric motors and variable frequency drives (VFDs), called Project "Topmotors Market Data Switzerland" (TMDS).
IHS Markit currently offers a platform that allows suppliers directly to provide information about market conditions. Based on the data collected, Impact Energy works with the SFOE to ensure well-informed policy decisions can be made regarding energy efficiency standards for electric motors and variable frequency drives (VFDs) in Switzerland.
The goal of the project is to minimize adverse effects and make sure associated industry players are represented as the Swiss government makes important decisions that promote a sustainable environment. Companies that would like to participate in this program can reach out directly to IHS Markit or Impact Energy. All participants will receive data summaries upon project completion.
