The merger plan announced between SK Telecom and CJ Hellovision has hit a stumbling block as the country’s Fair Trade Commission (FTC) completed its review of the deal and submitted an opinion supporting objections from competing operators related to bundled pricing power and dominance. A full hearing will be heard on 20 July with final decisions from telecom regulators expected in August.
