At its 2016 worldwide developer conference in June, Apple announced a variety of improvements and updates for the Apple TV set-top box and the related tvOS operating system. The improvements include an updated remote app with expanded functionality and Siri voice search, a live TV viewing option to view live streaming content, single sign-on to allow signing into multiple content providers in a one step, and the ability to manage HomeKit-enabled devices.

The announced updates are slated for rollout sometime in the fall of 2016.
