We have now been tracking digital cinema for 17 years, reporting and analysing on the development of a twenty year (plus) transition and the last ten years of rollout. We are now at a point where the majority of the 60 countries covered in IHS Cinema Intelligence service are converted to digital and, including e-cinema screens in India, 98.2% of the world’s cinema screens are now digitised.  For this Insight piece, we will focus on the progress towards full conversion in territories that are lagging behind and look at the progress of new technologies in cinemas.
