IHS has extended the DVD and Blu-ray Disc retail and rental forecasts published in the Video Intelligence service for all territories and regions through to 2020.
The 2020 forecasts are an extension of the existing IHS forecasting models based on available year end 2015 data or current estimates for 2015. As more year-end data is made available by our local sources we will finalise more data sets to 2015 figures and update the forecasts on a country-by-country basis. We have already finalised data for leading international markets such as UK, France, Germany, Japan and Australia and from mid Q1 onwards expect to be able to finalise other territories. Subscribers should note that several territories, including some in Western Europe, are seldom able to provide the necessary raw data until well into Q2.
As usual, IHS will clearly indicate which figures have been finalised for 2015 and which remain estimates (data headers in black represent actuals, data headers in red remain forecasts or estimates). Wherever possible we update these estimates based on feedback from local sources ahead of receiving ‘official’ year-end figures.
Video Intelligence subscribers will be notified of all revisions to any of the online forecasts through the usual channels.
