Sony is attempting to revive its troubling mobile business by kick-starting a new 4K smartphone trend with the display technology that has been perfected on its TV product. At the 2015 IFA, Sony announced a new series of Xperia smartphones including the Z5 Premium, Z5, and Z5 Compact. Of the trio, the Z5 Premium stood out the most as it is the first 4K display smartphone in the market, racing ahead other makers with an unrivalled screen resolution of 806 pixels per inch (PPI).The latest iPhone 6S Plus is just 401 PPI.
