Q1 2013 saw a significant increase in M&A dealflow volume over the final half of 2012, with significant acquisitions in the mobile Health and Wellness space. Venture capital funding also saw a return to growth after a marked decline during the second half of 2012.IHS research contradicts the ostensible "Series A crunch" widely publicised in the US press, as the number of Series A deals has remained relatively constant with only a moderate decrease. In contrast, however, IHS' data does show a dramatic drop in the number of B Series rounds from the previous year by nearly 60 per cent.
