In 2012 European consumers confidently navigated through the multiple of video platforms to access paid-for video software; be it on DVDs and Blu-ray Discs (BD), digital video and TV VOD. It seems likely that fewer and fewer consumers only watch video via one platform, and 2012 saw the continuing rise of the ?hybrid consumer? (those that regularly pay to view video software on a multiple of services and formats). Video consumption in Europe is now firmly shared between multiple devices, formats and platforms.
