IHS Screen Digest has extended the forecasts in its Video Intelligence for all territories and regions through to 2017.
The 2017 forecasts are an extension of the existing IHS Screen Digest forecasting models based on data available at end 2012. As year-end data is made available by our local sources we will finalise 2012 figures and update the forecasts on a country-by-country basis. Based on previous experience, we expect to receive raw data for leading international markets such as UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and Australia from mid Q1 onwards, with other territories likely to be updated in the following weeks or months. Subscribers should note that several territories, including some in Western Europe, are seldom able to provide the necessary raw data until well into Q2. Year-end 2012 data for the US market will be made available as soon as it is released by IHS Screen Digest's US team.
As usual, IHS Screen Digest will clearly indicate which figures have been finalised for 2012 and which remain estimates (data in black are actuals, data in red are estimates). Wherever possible we will update these estimates based on feedback from local sources ahead of receiving 'official' year-end figures. In some cases, data may be partially updated in two or more phases (e.g. consumer level before distributor level, retail before rental).
Video Intelligence subscribers will be notified of all revisions to any of the online forecasts through the usual channels.
